Are you eying a new mobile for yourself so this space is just for you to be aware of new policy of mobile companies. They have started opting for new strategies to hit consumer pockets.
Nokia is not a company its a thief. Thieves also have some good policies but they have broke all of them. According to Nokia's new policy only the device has 1 year warranty, battery, hands-free and other consumables only six months and memory cards only three months. Neither Nokia makes consumers aware of this by writing it on the device's box nor the sellers like Croma or Reliance Digital comes to customers help.
But to mention Croma's delightful experience when my handset was a month old it had some technical failures and non-alignment of cosmetics they replaced it with a new one.
And even if you are thinking that at-least your device has a one year warranty then again hit yourself as Nokia care centers again have another strategy to woo you up. your device will be "liquid damaged" even if it is working completely fine, you deliberately hit your device that's why its not working, or your device will take at-least a month before it reaches your hand and when it reaches you camera is mispositioned touch not working or earpiece is absent in the phone or your screen might have more dust than your table. Also no protection for cosmetics even if it is broken by Nokia engineers.
Also if your battery is not working it will be returned to you after 7 days so be happy for this too..... I had a whole lot of laughter when i took my Nokia 5800 to Nokia care and my friend's 5233. They denied warranty as i had only the box and not the bill, also after some days they denied warranty as I had only the bill and not the sticker on the box with me.....
The box was India registered and also manufacturing date of DEC 2009 when i visited Nokia care in April 2010. The Manager is also a star he is always on phone with his wife talking in Assamese. I was again denied warranty as they said your device is liquid damaged , and for all to know my device is still working completely fine, and i gave it just to remove dust from screen internally....hahaha....Nokia is a real bitch. People! I want to make, all of you, aware that when you buy Nokia forget about warranty you will never get it......
